Entry requirements
What the official process asks for, and where each requirement is defined.
Requirements depend on who you are
Nationality, country of residence, traveller category and how you arrive all change what applies. Treat this as orientation and confirm with the official sources.
The authority's own entry-document guidance. Opens cuba.travel.
Your consulate answers nationality-specific cases. Opens misiones.cubaminrex.cu.
The three things almost every traveller deals with
- A valid passport — validity requirements are set by the authorities, not by CubaAtlas.
- A visa or travel authorisation — obtained through the official electronic visa portal or a Cuban consulate.
- The D’Viajeros declaration — the official traveller form, completed before arrival, which produces a QR code used in entry procedures.
Things that change the answer
- Your nationality and your country of residence.
- Which Cuban consulate has jurisdiction over you.
- Your traveller category and reason for travel.
- Whether you arrive by air or by sea.
- Health and insurance requirements in force at the time of travel.
