What the trackers show
- Flights: every aircraft received inside the Cuba box, classified as arriving, departing, domestic or overflying from its published route; when no route is published the role is inferred from altitude and distance to the nearest Cuban airport and labelled as such.
- Ships: every AIS transmitter received around the island, with the declared destination read against Cuban port names and codes. A stopped vessel within 20 km of a port is shown as in port.
- Coverage is what volunteer receivers hear. Western Cuba and the Florida Straits are well covered; the south coast and the far east are thinner. A missing aircraft or ship is not evidence of absence, and nothing here is for navigation or operations.
