About CubaAtlas
CubaAtlas is a free, independent atlas for planning travel to Cuba. We bring the pieces of a trip into one place — destinations and beaches, real hotels and restaurants on a map, ready-made itineraries, a trip planner with budgets, and clear pages on visas and customs — so a traveler can plan an entire journey without paying an agency for the basics.
What we are — and aren't
We are an information atlas, not a travel agency. We don’t sell trips, take bookings, or process payments. When you’re ready to book, we point you to real airlines, agencies, and providers — and we compare their angles so you can decide for yourself. Everything on the atlas is free to read.
Apolitical by design
CubaAtlas describes Cuba’s places — its geography, beaches, nature, architecture, culture, food, and the history of places. It stays out of contemporary politics and ideology. Our aim is a neutral, evergreen reference that’s genuinely useful to travelers, whatever their background.
Sourced from official & open data
Where facts matter — visa rules, customs allowances, transport, geography — we cite official government and recognized open-data sources on the page, with the dates we last reviewed them. Rules change often, so we treat these pages as living documents and tell you to confirm against the current source before you travel.
How it runs
The atlas is a single web application hosted on DigitalOcean cloud infrastructure. It is available in several languages and is built to load fast and work on a phone while you’re on the move.
