Banes is a municipality in Holguín, Cuba. It is located at approximately 20.962°, -75.723°.
The story of this place
The town dates from 1887. Born here: Nancy McLeón, Cuban sprinter (b. 1971), Carmen Trustée, Cuban sprinter (b. 1948) and Gastón Baquero, Cuban writer (1914–1997). Died here: Julio González, American baseball player (1920–1991).
